What you're agreeing to

By downloading or using any of our apps (OA Companion, SLAA Companion, or any future companion app under Twelve Step), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please uninstall.

Our apps are not professional treatment

These apps are peer-recovery tools, not medical, therapeutic, or psychiatric services. We are not licensed counselors. The 12-step content presented is adapted from publicly available materials and the lived experience of recovering fellows. If you are in crisis or need professional help, please consult a qualified healthcare provider.

Not affiliated with the official fellowship bodies

None of our apps are official publications of Overeaters Anonymous (OA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (S.L.A.A.), or any other 12-step fellowship. We are not endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise affiliated with these organizations. The apps are independently built by recovering fellows as a service to those who still suffer.

Subscriptions

Premium features unlock via auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscriptions. Subscription is billed through your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. It auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

Free trials, where offered, convert automatically to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — refunds for the current period are not provided by us. (Apple's standard refund process applies if you believe a charge was in error.)

What we provide

Access to the app's features as described in the App Store listing, including but not limited to: lesson content, audio library streaming, meeting finder, journaling tools, and inventory tools. We update and improve these features over time. We may add or remove features in future updates.

Acceptable use

• Use the apps for your personal recovery only.
• Don't redistribute, resell, or republish the content as if it were your own.
• Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or circumvent the app's subscription gating.

Disclaimer of warranties

The apps are provided "as is" without any warranties — express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the apps. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding any claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the apps after changes constitutes acceptance.
